He stares at her,
light shining as she smiles.
He looks at her,
love expanding a thousand miles.

She looks at him,
wondering if they truly belong.
She stares at him,
wishing he'd stay, comforting, strong.

They gaze at each other,
smiles shining bright.
They watch each other,
through the night.

Others gawk
in disbelief.
Not able to see
through their grief.

What do they see
when they stare at each other?
Looking at one another
like there is no other?
